How Books Are Born

Hi! Thanks for stopping to meet me, Esther Gropper, 2 months short of 92 who still has her marbles even if, at times, she feels as if she's walking on those marbles.(My reasoning for occasional unsteady gait.) But don't believe the sideliners who say it's that scotch at 5:00 that I daily imbibe.

What I really want to tell you about is 'accumulated wisdom' gained in 90 years of living that I've inscribed in my latest book, DANCE 'TIL THE MUSIC STOPS.

Retrospectively, Life has its reasons for challenges and adventures: the 20th century challenged women to activate their vote, to give notice of their individuality, ability and ambition too long stirred in the pot of domesticity. The pot boiled over and we had the Feminine Sexual Revolution. That changed the mores- ideals and ideas of the past.

I had it all: freedom of thought and action. I had career and family and all turned out well. But there was another surprise for me: Longevity. And I'm not alone. There's a lively population, about 18% of U.S. who are living decades beyond the 65 retiree age. What are they doing with their blessing? Stirring up a new stew that combines creativity, innovation and experimentation. And pleasure!

What are the twilight tidbits like? I am offering tempting and tasteful living for the twilight years in DANCE 'TIL THE MUSIC STOPS.

(There will be more about the book to follow. I hope you"ll take the journey with me.)

The book is topical for those eyeing senior status, humorous, anecdotal, research and points to think about.
